For some reason Mountain Smashers wasn’t on my list of most anticipated lps of year, a mistake I now openly admit to after hearing the damn record. I guess that leaves it wide open to make an obvious pun about how the record took me ‘By Surprise’, but I won’t.

Pianos Become The Teeth Old Pride
“Old Pride” is a ferocious album right from the start despite the intro of “Filial” misleading the listener before the full force of the band kicks in with the passion that continues throughout the full duration.
